Brian Holley
ATHLETE PERFORMANCE COACH
Brian Holley enters his first full year with Champion's Quest after joining the team in February 2011. Growing up in Pomona, Brian was ranked #8 nationally from age 5 to 9 as a BMX racer. Going to Diamond Ranch high school, he competed on the Varsity teams in track & field and football. His senior year, he was the Mount Baldy League defensive MVP and was voted First team All-CIF for football.
Looking to further his education and collegiate athletic experience, Brian earned an academic scholarship to Cal Berkeley, the #1 public university in the world according to U.S. News 2011 Report. Earning a football athletic scholarship his third year and captain his senior year, Brian played fullback and long snapper. During his red-shirt freshman year, he was awarded the Cal Scout Team Player of the Year. Finishing his senior year, Brian was awarded the Dink Artal Award for exemplifying the highest standard of leadership of a student athlete on the Cal football team. Other recipients of this award are Byron Storer (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) and Burl Toler (Washington Redskins.) Graduating with a bachelor's degree in Cognitive Science-Pre Med, Brian is the first person in his entire family to attend college and graduate.
After college, Brian pursued the NFL with training for Combine at Competitive Edge Sports in Atlanta. While there, Brian trained youth athletes, sports teams, and professional athletes. Brian earned workouts with the S.F. 49ers and the Arizona Cardinals and continued to play football with the UFL's Las Vegas Locos and Sacramento Mountain Lions.
Entering the 2011 UFL season, Brian was invited back to training camp for the Las Vegas Locos. Always surrounded by football, Brian’s favorite athletes growing up were Reggie White and Ray Lewis.
Now, in pursuing his coaching/mentoring career for the future of youth athletics, Coach Brian preaches, “I want to coach youth athletes to learn how to reach and exceed their goals through hard work and mental focus. As well as, giving them high performance training advantages that I wish I had as a youth athlete."
