Meggan Brunette
Athlete Performance Coach - Softball Skill Coach
Meggan has joined Champion’s Quest after an extensive background in sports and leadership. As a NCAA Div. 1 scholarship rower at Loyola Marymount University, Meggan was the captain that led her crew team to the first ever Conference Championship in 2006. Sitting in the stroke seat position, Meggan is a natural leader and has used her talents for the past 10 years coaching and developing Health & Wellness programming for Youth Athletes and the Fitness Department for the YMCA of Orange County.
Meggan is currently a certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA-CSCS) and utilizes her previous training experience with athletes of all sports. She is a USA-W, Certified USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach as well. She is a local Southern California alumni of El Dorado high school in Placentia, where she was a Varsity athlete in Soccer, Softball, and Volleyball.
Fun Facts:
- Favorite athletes growing up were Misty May, Tim Salmon, Mia Hamm and Brett Favre.
- Meggan loves to go snowboarding, surfing, camping and fishing with her family.
- Currently trains at Crossfit in Placentia and serves as Coordinator for the Orange County "Jog for Jill" for the Bonnie J Addario Lung Cancer Foundation.
- Some of the schools her athletes have signed with are: Northeastern, Southern Methodist, Loyola Marymount, Gonzaga
- Earned 2011 Champion's QUEST "Coach of the Year" Award.
