Gaining explosive speed off the base involves more motion and strength than just a straight linear sprint. Champion’s Quest athletes can move five to fifteen feet in just one half second. Since time is distance even a fraction of a second can mean the difference between being safe or being called out. Increasing base running speed begins with an explosive start. The explosive start requires specific athletic movement combined with increased strength. Efficient running involves the legs, arms and core all working together. Champion’s Quest Peak Performance programs combine all the elements needed to create explosive short burst speed for young athletes.
